The Master of Arts in Speech, Language and Hearing Science (MA-SLH) program focuses on training exceptional clinical professionals equipped to handle diverse populations, environments, and communication disorders. Students gain extensive hands-on experience through Temple University's Speech-Language-Hearing Center (TUSLHC) and over 80 affiliated clinical sites across the Delaware Valley region. The program maintains close collaborations with experts at Temple University Hospital, the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, and other College of Public Health departments. Alumni have established successful careers both nationally and internationally. Students can explore research opportunities through independent study or by completing a master's thesis.

Temple University's College of Public Health offers this clinical professional degree to prepare future speech-language pathologists. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in assessing, diagnosing, and managing communication disorders across various populations and age groups. Students encounter numerous disorders, including developmental conditions like autism spectrum disorder, speech apraxia, reading disabilities, and fluency disorders. Graduates qualify for positions in multiple healthcare and educational settings, such as medical facilities, rehabilitation centers, private clinics, and school systems.
