Graduates from the Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Program will show proficiency in analyzing, combining, and applying fundamental principles of evidence-based evaluation and therapy for those with communication and swallowing challenges. They will interact skillfully, considering each client's/patient's requirements, beliefs, preferred communication methods, and cultural/linguistic context, as well as those of their families, caregivers, and involved parties. They will uphold professional guidelines, ethical considerations, and research methodologies in clinical settings. These graduates will employ analytical reasoning and judgment during assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention processes. Additionally, they will possess foundational understanding of human communication and swallowing mechanisms, encompassing biological, neurological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, linguistic, and cultural aspects, along with the capability to synthesize knowledge about typical and atypical development throughout life stages.
