Boston University's Master of Science (M.S.) program in speech-language pathology (residential) holds accreditation from the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, part of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The program's objective is to equip students with the qualifications needed for ASHA certification and Massachusetts state licensure in clinical practice.
During clinical practicum, you'll gain diverse experience working with patients of all ages. Our placements span various environments, including early childhood programs, hospitals, schools, and private clinics. Dedicated clinical faculty will guide you through the placement process as you enhance your clinical abilities. Beyond external placements, Sargent College operates on-campus clinics where graduate students, under faculty supervision, provide individual and group therapy at the Academic Speech, Language & Hearing Center and Aphasia Resource Center. Upon graduation, you'll possess the confidence and competence to excel in any professional setting.
