Students completing the Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Program will exhibit proficiency in analyzing, combining, and applying fundamental principles of evidence-based evaluation and therapy for those with communication and swallowing challenges. They will communicate clearly while considering each client's/patient's requirements, beliefs, preferred communication methods, and cultural/linguistic heritage, as well as those of their families, caregivers, and involved parties. They will implement professional guidelines, clinical methods, and ethical considerations in both practice and research. These graduates will employ analytical reasoning and judgment throughout assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention processes. They will possess foundational understanding of human communication and swallowing mechanisms, encompassing biological, neurological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, linguistic, and cultural aspects, along with the capability to synthesize knowledge about typical and atypical development throughout life stages.
