This program is designed for aspiring speech-language pathologists preparing for careers in various settings including clinical and hospital environments, private practices, early intervention initiatives, and primary/secondary schools. The speech-language pathology curriculum holds accreditation from the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), located at 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850 (contact: 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700). Our Master's programs are additionally recognized by the New York State Education Department, meeting licensure requirements for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP). Students can also pursue coursework qualifying them for certification as Teachers of Students With Speech and Language Disabilities. High-achieving students may opt to complete the Bilingual Extension specialization in SLP.
