Students passionate about serving bilingual clients should consider applying for the bilingualism concentration upon acceptance into the M.A. program. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in a non-English language through an approved examination. Beyond standard M.A. requirements, those pursuing the Bilingualism Concentration need to complete 6 extra units focused on bilingual/multilingual studies. Spanish-proficient students may additionally pursue the Bilingual Certificate, requiring 100 clinical hours working with Spanish-English bilingual clients and their families.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet the requirements of this program which include an acceptable baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and be in good standing in the last institution attended.
A GPA of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 semester (or 90 quarter) credits of upper division and/or graduate courses . Please note that average of admitted students is usually much higher around 3.8 Because of the high GPA of admitted students, we do not admit students conditionally.
TOEFL minimum score of 80 iBT/ 550 PBT. IELTS overall score of 6.5 or higher.
