The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSAD) at Sacramento State provides a Master of Science (M.S.) program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The CSAD M.S. curriculum is structured for students to start in the fall term and follow a defined course sequence. The program accepts students in two groups. The initial group (Fall Clinical Practica Cohort) commences clinical practice and classes in the fall semester, typically completing the program in at least 4 semesters. The second group (Spring Clinical Practica Cohort) starts coursework in fall but begins clinical practice in spring, usually finishing in no fewer than 5 semesters.
Both student groups undertake three (3) semesters of clinical practice at the on-campus Maryjane Rees Center, plus one (1) or more semesters involving at least two (2) external internship placements.
