Speech-language pathologists evaluate, identify, address, and assist in preventing communication and swallowing difficulties in both children and adults. Effective speech-language pathologists grasp the scientific, social, and clinical dimensions of communication while supporting patients with challenges in speech production, language acquisition, vocal function, swallowing, feeding, and related concerns. Those completing these programs work in diverse environments such as:
Emergency hospitals
Extended care and recovery centers
Medical clinics and physician practices
Community health centers (FQHCs)
Specialized nursing institutions
Applicants must have official university transcripts and proof of bachelor’s degree completion. TOEFL of 80, or IELTS of 6.5, or PTE of 53 is required.
