The Master of Science (MS) program combines academic coursework on communication disorder assessment and intervention throughout life with practical clinical experience at our on-campus and affiliated pediatric/adult facilities. MS candidates have the chance to participate in groundbreaking research alongside our globally-renowned faculty. The program holds accreditation from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
Student experiences may encompass our Aphasia Clinic, Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Program, Autism Clinic Extension, Diamond Children's/University of Arizona Medical Center, Chapel Haven West, The Child Language Center/Wings on Words Program, the ALS/MDA Clinic at University of Arizona Medical Center, and AAC client work. Numerous other clinical options are available beyond these listed.
We provide both a standard two-year MS track for Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences graduates and an extended three-year option for students from different academic backgrounds. Faculty evaluate applications to determine appropriate program length (two-year or three-year track) for each candidate.
