Qualification Requirements
Coursework Required for Admission Consideration: All applicants must present credentials that are the equivalent of the appropriate Bachelor of Music degree at Temple University, which is based on a curriculum of 124 to 135 hours. To enroll in the post-master's certificate program, candidates must hold the Master of Music degree (or the equivalent) in the field of specialization from an accredited institution.
Master's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: A degree in Music is expected.
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: A degree in Music is expected.
Goals statement: In 500 to 1,000 words, state your career goals and how you believe this degree will help you achieve them. Discuss relevant experience obtained so far.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The minimum score required is 79 on the internet-based (iBT) or 550 on the paper-based (PBT) version for all programs
International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The minimum score required on the academic version of the test is 6.5.
The minimum admissions standard for all graduate students is ordinarily an undergraduate grade point average of B or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the functional equivalent for students who have attended universities outside of the United States.
Recommendations: Send two letters of recommendation.
R'sum: A current professional r'sum is required.
Standardized Test Scores: Test score, such as the GMAT or GRE, are not required.
Transcripts: Academic transcripts must be officially sealed from each college and university previously attended, including Temple University.
