With growing interest in drones and their applications, the demand for qualified drone operators continues to rise. Southern New Hampshire University's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certificate prepares graduates to obtain remote pilot certification. By 2018, over one million drones had been registered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, this growth stems from technological advances enabling unmanned aircraft to identify dangerous scenarios and potentially save lives. SNHU's campus certificate program enhances the capabilities of professionals in emergency management, insurance, transportation, infrastructure inspection, or first response roles. This certificate was created collaboratively with ArgenTech Solutions and has received endorsement from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
