Qualification Requirements

Completion of the application at the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) website
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
Cumulative and prerequisite grade point averages (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4-point scale
A minimum of twenty-five (25) hours of clinical observation with a licensed physical therapist in the delivery of physical therapy services in a clinical environment. This requirement may be met through paid or volunteer experiences. Hours must be completed by May 1, 2024.
Twoletters of recommendation from sources able to attest to an applicant's academic ability and character, one letter must be from a licensed physical therapist and another must be from an academic faculty,academic advisor and/or employer.Letters from family members and casual acquaintances are not acceptable.
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) must be taken within five years. While the program does not use a strict cutoff score, most competitive applicants will have scores at or above the 50th percentile in each test area, and a 3.0 or higher on the analytical writing section. If English is not the native language, a student must submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Score Report documenting a computer-based score of 220or above, or pass all four sections of the TOEFL internet-based examination. The passing section scores are: Writing = 24, Speaking = 26, Listening = 18, and Reading = 21.
