Aspiring physical therapists can apply for the Entry Level DPT Program, which spans three years (36 months) with 34 weeks of dedicated clinical training. This program holds accreditation from the APTA Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and has received approvals from the University of California, California State University, California Post-Secondary Education Committee (CPEC), and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

The curriculum cultivates skilled clinicians, educators, research collaborators, healthcare administrators, and community advocates. With an annual intake of 50 students, the 36-month program (including summer sessions) emphasizes a robust grounding in fundamental, medical, and applied sciences. The coursework integrates critical analysis and clinical decision-making while fostering innovative approaches to patient care that reduce impairments, enhance functionality, and promote wellness.

Instruction takes place at both San Francisco State University and University of California, San Francisco, with clinical rotations available at partner facilities across California. Program alumni demonstrate exceptional readiness for the State Licensing Exam and are highly sought after in diverse physical therapy settings.
