The Emergency Medical Services Degree program equips students to become skilled entry-level Emergency Medical Technicians (Basic and Paramedic) across three key learning areas: knowledge, practical skills, and professional behavior. This program provides flexible exit points at Advanced EMT, EMT, or Emergency Medical Responder levels. As the sole AAS Paramedic Degree provider in the San Antonio region, it also features an affordable Certificate Level II in Paramedic and an Occupational Skills Award for EMT-Basic training. EMT education serves as an ideal gateway into the medical field, enabling students to master emergency pre-hospital care for patients in both field and hospital emergency settings.
