Saint Louis University's graduate program in geographic information science meets the growing need for skilled geospatial professionals. This program blends theoretical foundations with hands-on experience in geospatial technologies. The interdisciplinary Master of Science (M.S.) in Geographic Information Science (GIScience), alternatively called Geospatial Science, is administered through SLU's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and other academic units offering GIS-related coursework (including Biology and Computer Science departments). Students gain expertise in both geospatial concepts and applied techniques using GIS platforms, remote sensing tools, and GPS technologies.
