Nuclear medicine is a specialized field employing safe, pain-free, and economical methods to scan the body and address medical conditions. This discipline utilizes minute quantities of radioactive substances for both diagnosis and treatment, employing gamma or PET/CT scanning technology. What sets nuclear medicine imaging apart is its ability to capture both organ functionality and anatomical details simultaneously. This approach provides crucial data that might be inaccessible through other means, potentially avoiding surgical procedures or more costly diagnostic examinations.
