Radiologic science involves acquiring and analyzing medical images to diagnose, evaluate, and treat illnesses. Northwest's program emphasizes instructing students in fundamental anatomical concepts, including bone and muscle positioning, their functions, and how they interact within the body. Students also learn about physiology, which examines how organs and systems work together, along with introductory pharmacology and clinical patient care methods. Since becoming a radiologic technologist requires a degree, Northwest provides a distinctive two-year curriculum that prepares students for entry into radiologic programs. Afterward, students transfer to a radiology school for two more years to earn their bachelor's degree. Northwest has established partnerships with Research Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology and Saint Luke's School of Radiologic Technology, enabling students to finish their degree in just four years—reducing the typical timeline by 18 to 24 months.
