The Atmosphere/Energy curriculum equips students with the essential knowledge to comprehend climate impacts at various scales, air pollution challenges, and energy dilemmas, addressing them through eco-friendly, renewable, and optimized energy solutions. Students thoroughly examine root causes and potential remedies while developing skills to assess solution effectiveness. The program covers renewable energy sources, indoor/outdoor air pollution control, energy-efficient architecture, climate science, sustainable transportation technologies, meteorological phenomena, energy solutions for developing nations, power grid systems, and air quality regulation strategies.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
