The Interdepartmental Nutrition Graduate Program (INP) offers cross-disciplinary education for those pursuing nutrition science research. With instructors from multiple departments, students gain access to diverse knowledge and learning experiences. Prospective participants enroll through Purdue West Lafayette's (PWL) Nutrition Science graduate program. Accepted candidates work with INP faculty advisors to obtain either an MS or PhD degree. The curriculum covers multiple methodologies for tackling significant nutritional challenges. Scholars and professors in this program investigate nutrient and phytochemical processing, diet-health connections, and food choice determinants. Their applied studies build upon fundamental research, employing human trials, animal studies, and principles from physiology and biochemistry. These investigations frequently yield practical applications for medical treatment and community health initiatives.
