Classical Studies delves into interconnected fields aimed at comprehensively examining the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, encompassing classical languages (Greek and Latin), philosophy, art, archaeology, and mythology. This discipline features foundational European literary works like Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. A holistic classical studies curriculum covers not just ancient literature and linguistics, but also their historical, philosophical, artistic, and archaeological contexts. Graduates emerge as critically thinking, globally aware individuals.
Students can tailor their studies through three specialized tracks: classical languages (Latin and ancient Greek), literature and culture, or material culture and history.
Like all liberal arts degrees, this program equips students with essential management skills: effective communication, interpersonal insight, creative/critical analysis, problem-solving, and synthesizing complex concepts.
