This 12-credit specialization provides undergraduate students with diverse perspectives and methodologies in ecological and environmental anthropology.
Ecological and Environmental Anthropology represents one of five key research focus areas in our Anthropology Department, where we examine human diversity across time, enhance understanding of cultural dynamics, and tackle major global issues. From food production systems to human-wildlife interactions, from ancient environmental relationships to contemporary ecological discourse, these factors significantly influence human existence worldwide.
Our environmental anthropology experts investigate primate conservation and nutrition, sustainable living practices, human-environment interactions, social justice issues, and analyze public narratives to comprehend our reciprocal relationship with the natural world.
