The bachelor's degree in anthropological archaeology features foundational comparative courses, specialized theory and subject-focused classes in our key research areas, hands-on field schools in locations like Jordan, Israel, Peru, San Diego County, and Puerto Rico, plus archaeology-focused study abroad opportunities in Egypt, Mexico, Central America, Italy, Malta, and Spain. Undergraduates can also acquire research skills by working in our labs, participating in the Faculty Mentor Program, completing AIP internships at local institutions like the San Diego Museum of Man and California State Parks, or joining the Anthropology Senior Honors program.
