The Master of Science program in Animal Science is a research-focused degree that mandates finishing a thesis project along with coursework. Students must earn 30 credits, with a minimum of 18 at the graduate level. This research-intensive program culminates in a thesis based on original study. For part-time students dedicating half their time to studies, completing the M.S. typically takes two years (six semesters, including summer terms) of combined coursework and research.
Prerequisite to graduate work is the completion of an undergraduate major in animal science, dairy science, poultry science, or a related biological science.
English Proficiency: TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - a total score of 80 with a 19 on the speaking section for the internet-based test (iBT); TOEFL Paper-based test - the minimum acceptable score is 550; IELTS - The minimum acceptable composite score for the IELTS Academic Test is 6.5.
