Graduate students across various fields—including agronomy, animal science, biochemistry, biological sciences, genetics, veterinary diagnostic medicine and pathobiology, horticulture, and plant pathology—are engaged in research that may involve insects and plant protection or pest management. These students might benefit from showcasing expertise in entomology, improving their qualifications for specific career opportunities. To enrich their academic pursuits and elevate graduate education standards without compromising their current degree programs, the Department of Entomology has introduced a graduate certificate program in entomology. This initiative aims to equip graduates for careers in entomology or plant protection/pest management, foster interdisciplinary learning in entomology, and enhance the academic growth of participating students.
