The Department of Animal Science earns national and global acclaim for its outstanding research, education, and outreach initiatives in animal agriculture and biology. Our distinguished faculty have won national awards for their exceptional teaching and dedication to addressing student needs. The Animal Sciences M.S. program allows students to focus on specialized areas like genetics, growth biology, nutrition, physiology, or production systems, with flexibility to combine multiple focus areas in their personalized curriculum.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
