The Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences bachelor's program equips undergraduates for diverse careers focused on preserving fish, wildlife, and their ecosystems while addressing how societal values shape conservation efforts. Many enrolled students express a desire to create meaningful environmental change. Whether your passion lies in rescuing threatened species, sustainably managing animal populations, rehabilitating natural habitats, protecting biodiversity, addressing climate change impacts, conducting ecological research, supporting conservation law enforcement, exploring human-conservation dynamics, or teaching future generations about environmental stewardship, this program provides the necessary foundation. Alumni typically find employment with state/federal agencies (such as Oregon DFW, USFWS, or NMFS), tribal organizations, nonprofits (like The Nature Conservancy or Ducks Unlimited), academic institutions, and private companies (including aquaculture firms and environmental consultancies). The degree is available through Corvallis campus instruction, with select courses at Hatfield Marine Science Center, plus online via Ecampus.
