Oakland University's School of Nursing offers an Accelerated Second-Degree (ASD) BSN program designed as a rigorous, full-time course spanning four semesters. This track is tailored for individuals who already hold at least a Bachelor's degree in a non-Nursing discipline.
For graduates from international universities, a detailed course-by-course assessment from a NACES-accredited evaluator is required to verify the equivalency of their degree to a U.S. Bachelor's. Important to note: professional degrees (such as a Doctor of Medicine) don't automatically qualify unless the evaluation specifically confirms this equivalency. Many applicants have found SpanTran particularly helpful for these evaluations, as they frequently include this crucial equivalency statement for professional degree holders.
