The Doctor of Physical Therapy program strengthens your critical thinking abilities while fostering an evidence-based approach to care. Through diverse clinical rotations in PT labs and healthcare settings, you'll build professional competencies. This accredited D.P.T. curriculum equips graduates to practice as entry-level physical therapists. Completing the program fulfills one prerequisite for state licensure. The physical therapy faculty has identified five essential skill areas for program success: observation, communication, motor function, cognitive ability, and professional conduct.

Qualification Requirements

An applicant whose native language is not English must present an IELTS score of 6.5 or alternatively, a TOEFL score of at least 80 on the TOELF ibt, Admission to the professional physical therapy program is based on the following criteria:

Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution prior to matriculation
Completion of all prerequisite course work with a minimum 3.00 GPA prior to matriculation
Completion of a minimum of 50 hours of observation/volunteer/paid work in a physical therapy setting. These hours must be obtained in at least two different settings within four years of the time of application
Competitive scores on the GRE General Test

An interview may be required as part of the admission process
