The Doctor of Audiology program cultivates research abilities, covering both fundamental and practical applications, alongside hands-on training for real-world clinical settings. This program equips students to fulfill the essential criteria for obtaining the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as well as state certification. The Au.D. serves as a foundational degree, readying graduates for careers in audiology. The curriculum ensures compliance with the academic and clinical standards required for ASHA certification and state licensure, introduces students to research methodologies, offers experiential learning opportunities, and fosters evidence-based clinical skills.

Qualification Requirements

An applicant whose native language is not English must present an IELTS score of 6.5 or alternatively, a TOEFL score of at least 80 on the TOELF ibt.
An applicant for admission is generally expected to meet or exceed the following requirements.

A minimum 3.40 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) in all undergraduate course work.
Competitive scores on the GRE General Test.
Completion of all pre-requisite coursework with a minimum 3.00 GPA prior to matriculation.
The Statement of Purpose is an integral part of the application. Students should address their personal and professional goals.
Three (3) letters of recommendation from professors, clinical supervisors, or employers providing evidence of an applicant's professional qualifications and ability to successfully complete doctoral work. At least two letters should be from persons in a position to write analytically about the applicant's academic qualifications to pursue graduate studies, and/or professional practice in audiology.
