This Bachelor of Science in Photography program offers hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in digital photography while nurturing students' artistic vision. The curriculum covers both studio and outdoor photography, digital image editing, lighting techniques, and workflow management. Core communication classes build foundational skills in writing, analytical thinking, and effective communication. Degree candidates will engage in practical fieldwork and complete a capstone portfolio project.
Our extensive curriculum encompasses studio lighting techniques, multimedia applications, printing methods, and innovative digital/film processes. Outdoor photography courses allow students to capture natural environments, wildlife, and celestial scenes using advanced portable equipment. Through our professional studio facilities, students gain experience with commercial lighting setups, model/product photography, and studio operations.

We require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) for first year and transfer students.
Transfer students who have earned 24 or more credits at an American post-secondary institution only need to submit that transcript as part of their application. A high school transcript is not required.
NAU accepts transcript evaluations from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) as part of the evaluation process. However, the result of a transcript evaluation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be awarded. All transcripts from post-secondary institutions in Nigeria must be evaluated from members of the NACES services. IELTS 6, TOEFL - 70 iBT and iBT Home Edition.
