NYITCOM's Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) program prepares future physicians for lifelong learning and practice through a comprehensive approach that combines evidence-based knowledge, analytical reasoning, and osteopathic philosophy. Available at both our Long Island, New York and Jonesboro, Arkansas campuses, the program cultivates essential behavioral, social, and clinical competencies needed in contemporary healthcare. Our curriculum addresses diverse influences—from anatomical to societal—that impact disease and treatment results. Students can engage in research projects and focus on specialized areas like global health, public health initiatives, and emerging medical technologies.
The program blends biomedical and clinical sciences through progressive teaching techniques guided by distinguished faculty across various disciplines. State-of-the-art resources including medical simulation, VR technology, robotics, and other advanced tools enhance the rigorous academic program.
During years three and four, clinical rotations offer hands-on experience across diverse healthcare environments—from individual mentorship in private practices to collaborative team roles in major hospital departments.
