Montana State's Biological Engineering program immerses students at the dynamic crossroads of biology, chemistry, and industrial applications. From exploring how Yellowstone's microorganisms might help break down plastics to conducting laboratory research on innovative diagnostic methods for illnesses such as malaria and cancer, the program offers diverse experiences to cultivate expertise applicable to careers in biomedicine, environmental cleanup, and beyond.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
