The Doctor of Philosophy program in Counselor Education and Supervision aims to develop graduates who can serve as counselor educators, supervisors, researchers, practitioners, and leaders across academic and clinical environments. This program seeks to expand the counseling profession's knowledge through scholarly research while training students to enhance professional practice by creating new insights for the field. It fosters collaboration between faculty and students in publishing and presenting research findings while preparing students for leadership roles within the counseling profession. The Rehabilitation Counselor Education doctoral program holds accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The updated Counselor Education and Supervision curriculum will initiate self-study data collection to prepare for assessment of this new classification when launched in Fall 2023. CACREP accreditation demonstrates dedication to program quality and assures the public of our commitment to educational excellence. Program participants are required to adhere to the ethical standards set by both the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
