The University of Washington's Doctor of Physical Therapy program provides a comprehensive education for aspiring physical therapy professionals. As a student here, you'll learn in one of the nation's premier rehabilitation departments. Our DPT program, administered by the Division of Physical Therapy within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, ranks among the top four rehabilitation programs in the country per U.S. News & World Report. Recognizing that physical therapists frequently work in multidisciplinary teams, our curriculum emphasizes teamwork across healthcare fields. During your initial two years, you'll share courses with occupational therapy, prosthetics, and orthotics students, while also engaging with peers from other UW health programs like speech-language pathology and medicine. The program culminates with clinical rotations where you'll partner with various healthcare providers.
