The MAT program generally spans two and a half years, though this duration may vary based on your previously completed coursework, enrollment timing, and summer class participation. Early and middle childhood licensure options are exclusively offered at the undergraduate level. Degree holders seeking licensure in these areas must enroll as undergraduates and complete all required undergraduate coursework. With Graduate School approval, the Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry can recommend a select number of candidates for graduate assistantships. The Graduate School ultimately grants these assistantships based on departmental nominations.
