MICA's Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art Summer Low-Residency (MFAST) program caters to established artists seeking advanced education while maintaining their professional commitments.
MFAST focuses on blending artistic practice with theoretical exploration, fostering independent thinkers who can specialize in a single medium or experiment across diverse artistic forms.

The MFAST program spans three years plus an additional summer. Participants engage in a rigorous six-week summer residency at MICA annually, complemented by off-campus independent work and a brief winter campus session. Between on-site periods, students maintain contact with their assigned faculty mentors using remote learning platforms. The program's immersive duration fosters a tight-knit creative community, connecting participants with visiting artists, critics, and alumni who significantly shape their artistic development and approach.
