A comprehensive exploration of ceramic materials, their historical roots, and modern uses in visual arts

The institution provides specialized ceramics programs within both the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art and Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art degrees. Students can also pursue an undergraduate minor or enroll in a post-baccalaureate/special student program.

Ceramics coursework encompasses wheel-throwing techniques, hand-building methods, slip-casting processes, tile production, material studies, studio work, methodological approaches, and specialized classes alongside seminars that foster analytical skills through written work, presentations, and group critiques. Additional electives in art history and other studio disciplines encourage cross-disciplinary thinking and conceptual integration.
