Interior designers and architects craft purposeful environments by addressing diverse human needs, drawing insights from disciplines such as psychology, physiology, and sociology. Shaping well-conceived spaces is a complex process that blends artistic vision with technical expertise, balancing user comfort with ecological responsibility, and merging longevity with aesthetic appeal.
Acknowledging the demand for professionals with comprehensive skills, Lawrence Technological University provides a streamlined pathway to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Master of Architecture. Students begin with the undergraduate Interior Design program before transitioning smoothly into the graduate Architecture curriculum. Upon completion, graduates will meet the educational criteria for interior design certification and architectural licensure, emerging as skilled practitioners. This dual-degree approach trains future architects with specialized expertise in interior spaces. Because the programs share overlapping coursework, the M.Arch can be earned as a 60-credit professional master's degree following the 121-credit undergraduate Interior Design program.
