The Master of Education in School Psychology emphasizes fundamental concepts and essential aspects of school psychology practice. This M.Ed. program does not serve as a final degree and does not qualify graduates for Ohio's school psychology licensure.

Further education beyond the M.Ed., such as an Ed.S. or Ph.D., is necessary to obtain the 'school psychologist' designation from both Ohio's Department of Education and the National Association of School Psychologists' certification program, as well as for professional licensure in most states.
