The Master of Arts in Latin offers in-depth study of Latin literary works along with Roman history and culture.
Program Learning Objectives
Students completing the Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy specialization will achieve the following competencies:
Develop analytical capabilities for interpreting Latin texts.
Achieve fluency in reading Latin while gaining broad understanding of Roman literary traditions, historical context, and cultural developments.
Acquire foundational understanding of linguistic theory and second language learning processes.
Develop both theoretical frameworks and practical methodologies for teaching and evaluating second language acquisition.
The literature track is designed for those intending to pursue doctoral studies, teach at higher education institutions, or conduct academic research in modern languages and literary studies.
