When working toward a master's or PhD, literature graduate students should aim to combine broad understanding with focused expertise. Our professors bring diverse specializations, covering both conventional historical eras and interdisciplinary areas such as queer and feminist studies, cinema analysis, disability research, and author biographies. Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for admission in the Ball State Graduate School, you must have a bachelor's degree or higher from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association. Some doctoral and specialist degree programs (but not all) require a master's degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.

Applicants whose GPA falls below the 2.75 minimum may also be eligible for probationary admission
