The ceramics curriculum covers functional, sculptural, and installation methods.

IUP's ceramics program focuses on each student's personal development and individual artistic path. Emphasis is placed on exploring materials and introducing as well as refining technical, conceptual, and aesthetic skills.

The ceramics studio, located in the newly renovated Robertshaw Building, offers a safe and adaptable environment. It features dedicated areas for kilns, hand building, wheel throwing, clay mixing, glazing, plaster work, and private graduate studios. Available kiln types include electric, gas, raku, wood, and soda firing.

Qualification Requirements

Official transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required for all students.
