The General Studio specialization is designed for aspiring studio artists, those pursuing advanced studies, or individuals seeking careers connected to their artistic practice. This program allows you to experiment with various art and design mediums and techniques while customizing your degree to align with your personal goals. Potential focus areas could encompass medical illustration, advertising, gallery curation, graduate studies in art therapy, or other professions blending artistic and design skills with other disciplines.
By concentrating on General Studio, you'll develop the visual vocabulary, technical abilities, creative thinking, theoretical understanding, and practical knowledge required to thrive in professional artistic environments. Supporting this development, the School of Art and Design provides multiple exhibition venues for students. Both BFA undergraduates and MFA graduate students gain valuable experience through showcasing their own creations and engaging with peers' artwork.
