BA in Art - Studio Arts (Drawing) in Normal United States | Illinois State University

The drawing curriculum fosters students' artistic growth and self-expression while cultivating analytical and historical perspectives on drawing's role in visual arts and society. Introductory classes focus on observational skills and classical rendering of forms and figures. Upper-level courses, continuing with figurative work, explore diverse personal and modern approaches. Learners experiment with both conventional and innovative materials. Eight dedicated faculty members, all practicing artists who regularly exhibit and publish, provide significant individual guidance within the Drawing program.
