The Master's program in Middle Eastern Studies (AM) offers an intensive two-year curriculum tailored for ambitious learners seeking to expand their academic horizons or enhance professional expertise. Participants with varied backgrounds join from across the United States and internationally, united by their passion for in-depth scholarly examination of the multifaceted Middle East. Alumni typically enter fields such as international relations, commerce, journalism, advocacy, and NGO sectors, while others advance to higher education in law, medicine, or doctoral studies. As members of CMES's vibrant academic community, graduate students actively enrich campus life through engagement with center initiatives, events, and specialized seminars during their studies.
Individuals who have or will have by the time of matriculation a BA, BS, or equivalent undergraduate degree (for prospective international students, a three- or four-year undergraduate degree from an institution of recognized standing) and actively seeks applicants from groups historically underrepresented in graduate schools. Applicants must receive a minimum score of 80 for the TOEFL, and it is not common for applicants to be admitted with TOEFL scores below 90. The minimum IELTS Academic score is 6.5. Some programs may require higher scores. Application Deadline: January 5.
