Systems, synthetic, and quantitative biology explores how complex biological systems exhibit emergent properties through component interactions. This interdisciplinary domain integrates principles from biology, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, and engineering. Applicants from any of these academic backgrounds are welcome. Our program equips students to merge experimental and computational methods for creating quantitative biological models. Students gain proficiency with modern analytical tools while identifying significant biological challenges that can now be tackled through quantitative and theoretical frameworks.
