In Social Psychology, both students and professors aim to comprehend human interactions and behaviors within social environments. Our academic pursuits and instruction cover various analytical perspectives—ranging from the neurological and biological foundations of social cognition to individual and collective actions, as well as the societal and cultural frameworks influencing human thought, emotion, and behavior. A significant portion of our research occurs at interdisciplinary crossroads—connecting with psychology fields like cognitive neuroscience and developmental psychology, collaborating with departments such as Economics and Sociology, and partnering with Harvard's professional institutions, including the Law School, Business School, Medical School, and Kennedy School of Government.
Ultimately, our goal is to advance knowledge about self-perception and interpersonal dynamics while exploring how social psychology can positively impact individuals' lives.
