The Advanced Graduate Education Program in Dental Public Health aims to enhance population oral health by training specialists in this field. Program graduates will focus on: Promoting research in dental public health, particularly in disease monitoring, healthcare studies, program assessment, oral disease origins, and connections between oral and overall health, Enhancing dental care accessibility for disadvantaged groups while improving service quality for everyone, Supporting the creation and sustainability of community dental initiatives, Expanding preventive dentistry practices within healthcare systems, and Equipping dental professionals for research, teaching, and leadership roles in Dental Public Health. This pathway results in a Doctor of Medical Science degree in oral biology with a Dental Public Health certificate from Harvard University's Faculty of Medicine, requiring at least four years of study. DMSc candidates face more rigorous coursework and research demands, aligning with Harvard's doctoral standards. Participants earn the DPH certification and become eligible for specialty board examinations. This program is ideal for dentists pursuing academic or research-oriented careers.
