The Astrophysics Concentration and Secondary Field in Astrophysics provide intimate class settings, boasting the best faculty-to-student ratio among physical science departments, along with chances to visit distant observatories. Many students opt for a combined concentration with Physics or Earth & Planetary Sciences. Situated at 60 Garden Street across from the Radcliffe Quadrangle, the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics stands as a premier global hub for astrophysics research, employing more than 350 scientists and operating advanced observatories in Arizona, Chile, Hawaii, and space.
