The Romance Studies Special Field enables students to integrate studies across two or three Romance languages and their literatures. With its cross-cultural approach, this specialized area recognizes shared historical roots while exploring diverse developments within Romance literary and cultural traditions. While some students join the program already skilled in one Romance language with exposure to others, prior knowledge of multiple languages isn't required for admission to Harvard's program.
